This Self-Titled was Santana’s debut LP and was a powerful and original masterpiece. When Santana arrived on the San Francisco scene in 1968, the Grateful Dead’s freeform antics were already legendary. But, Santana was a jam band of another order fueled by Latin rhythms, blues, bee bop, and straight ahead rock. Having set the audience at the 1969 Woodstock Festival on its collective ear, the band did the same for the nation with its self-titled debut released later than summer.

Songs such as Evil Ways - Jingo and Soul Sacrifice contain extraordinary ensemble playing powered by congas and timbales and topped by the gripping human cry of Carlos Santana’s guitar. A rock classic cover to cover!!

WOODSTOCK BOX SET - This 5LP set contains live music from the notorious 1969 Woodstock concert. Experience the excitement of the 3-day event with this live recording which includes stage dialogue, stage announcements and even the rain chant initiated by the crowd as an attempt to stop the rainstorm.

Timed with the 40th Anniversary of the Woodstock festival, the original Woodstock soundtracks "Music From the Original Soundtrack and More: Woodstock" and "Woodstock Two" are packaged together to form this 5-LP boxed set. The LPs are cut from the original analog soundboard tapes and the package also includes a 20-page, oversized 12" x 12" photo book.

The "Music From the Original Soundtrack and More: Woodstock" and "Woodstock 2" sets within the box set live in triple gatefold jackets with full-color matte cover art. The 20-page booklet contains black & white as well as full-color images taking the viewer/listener back in time to the rock concert that will be remembered forever. All this is housed in a beautiful sturdy box with embossed concert image on cover and interior ribbon to facilitate easy removal of items.
