Gustavo Santaolalla is a contemporary screen music master who knows how to add serious weight and he brings that to The Last of Us" Season 2, which is darker, more brutal and more emotionally complex than its predecessor. The score moves between intimate acoustic fragility and oppressive tension with the same fluency that defined the first season. Tracks like 'Through The Valley', 'Wounds From The Past' and the heartbreaking 'A Flicker of Yesterday' carry enormous emotional potency. A moving listen with or without the accompanying pictures.
