FOURTH ALBUM to feature vocalist Chris Youlden. In the cannon of Savoy Brown's work this album is highly regarded, containing a brace of killer tracks and some astonishingly great guitar work from band leader Kim Simmonds. Of course, Youlden's blues howling vocals steal the show - very much on par with Paul Jones - making this something of a bench mark album.
Stuffed full of delicate and not so delicate electric blues and concentrating on great songs and exceptional arrangements, this album has stood the test of time well. Not as intense as previous releases the emphasis here is on quailty rather than quantity with tracks like 'Made Up My Mind' fusing the raw blues boom style with a penatrative nod towards more exotic faire. Further prime cuts include 'Writing On The Bamboo Grove' and 'I'm Tired'.
Side two is a real treat - recorded live in London and it smokes.
Really, one of the finest progressive blues rock albums of the era and a record that still sounds as impressive today as it did upon release.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Nice clean condition. Can't see any spindle marks and only minor signs of any other use. Grades as MINT-!
Cover: Again, only light signs of use. Housed in a beautifully illustrated front laminated cover - retains lovely gloss - and unlaminate rear panel. Sharp corners (slightly curled), no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and one very minor crease. Nice straight spine with original pinches top and bottom.
