Description
Great and classic UK blues LP (and debut LP for Savoy Brown) on U.K. DECCA LK 4883. This is the awesome MONO version with ‘ARL-7887-IA’ and ‘ARL-7888-IA’ stamped in the deadwax on each side. This copy also features the first pressing laminated cover. Cover grades VG+ overall with only light overall wear, no splits, and some light soiling to the back. The record itself play grades VG+. A few light scratches and paper scuffs are present on the vinyl, and a few very light ‘ticks’ are audible here and there in soft passages of songs and primarily between transitioning of tracks. Please see my other auctions as I will be listing some very clean and rare blues, funk, jazz, and soul albums from a private collection.
Grading Scale:
NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.
VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.
VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.
VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.
G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.
Fair/Poor = I do not ever sell records at this grade, but they would be cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
