SAVOY BROWN BLUES BAND Shake Down (Decca SKL 4883) RARE UK 70s Pressing MINT-
RARE mid-70s UK pressing of the Savoy Brown Blues Band`s debut album "Shake Down" on Decca Records (September 1967). This later pressing from March 1977 is practically identical to earlier Decca Records copies.
"Savoy Brown had just been signed to Decca records on Mike Vernon's recommendation. It's a raw and immediate album of hard primal blues and blues-rock with 
huge bass guitar, lots of guitar solos, piano and powerful drums. All the tracks here, except the instrumentals are fantastic covers of blues classics by John Lee 
Hooker, Fenton Robinson, B.B. King and Willie Dixon. "I Ain't Superstitious", "Rock Me Baby" and "Oh Pretty Woman" are particularly convincing, while the closing 
upbeat track "Shake 'Em on Down", recreating the band's live shows, is a traditional tune artfully arranged by the band. If you like British Blues in the vein of early

EX++ COVER, carefully stored away for many years. Please see photos for details.
- Near-perfect front-laminated UK sleeve with minimal storage wear.
- Lightest record imprint on the front cover.
- A few tiny creases to the spine.
- Slight discolouring to white areas of the back cover.
- Also includes the original custom-printed Decca Records inner sleeve, date-stamped "3-77" at bottom left.

MINT(-) RECORD that looks unplayed. 
- Perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- No hairlines, scuffs or other visible wear at all.
- Perfect condition dark blue Decca Records labels with no spindle wear whatsoever.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "ZAL-7887-1W" and "ZAL-7888-1W".  
- Mothers/Stampers: "  S 1 / U N" on Side One and "1 / D A" on Side Two. 
- This copy of "Shake Down" is fully certified to be a mid-period UK pressing from March 1977.
