PRESSED WITH THE FIRST ISSUE UNBOXED BLUE DECCA LABELS
MATRIX: ZAL-8682-2W / ZAL-8683-1W
MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 1/U and 1/U (one of the first 600 or so pressed)
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL MATT SLEEVE “Printed in England”
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL BLUE DECCA COMPANY POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE

The third release by Kim Simmonds and company, but the first to feature the most memorable lineup of the group: Simmonds, "Lonesome" Dave Peverett, Tony "Tone" Stevens, Roger Earl, and charismatic singer Chris Youlden.
This one serves up a nice mixture of blues covers and originals, with the first side devoted to studio cuts and the second a live club date recording.
Certainly the standout track, indeed a signature song by the band, is the tour de force "Train to Nowhere," with its patient, insistent buildup and pounding train-whistle climax.
Additionally, David Anstey's detailed, imaginative sleeve art further boosts this a notch above most other British blues bands of the time

Side One: Studio
Train To Nowhere (4:12)
Tolling Bells (6:33)
She's Got A Ring In His Nose And A Ring On Her Hand (3:07)
Vicksburg Blues (4:03)
Don't Turn Me From Your Door (5:04)
Side Two: Recorded live at The City Of Leicester College of Education on Friday 6th December, 1968
May Be Wrong (7:50)
Louisiana Blues (9:04)
It Hurts Me Too (6:51)

LABELS: NEAR MINT
Factory-fresh labels with one spindle trace on one side, none on the other
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Both surfaces shine like new - Side Two has some light and harmless brush marks/hairlines (either from the inner or a cleaning cloth)
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Plays beautifully throughout - an odd tick noted - nothing really and I did not clean this copy as it looks so immaculate so these will no doubt disappear after a clean/few spins - nothing else to fault - exceptional, practically untouched copy
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
The non-laminated cover is crisp and sharp with nothing but a few light storage marks to the white back and light rub to the edges/spine
