SAVOY BROWN - GETTING TO THE POINT - MEGA RARE UNBOXED DECCA MONO LK4935  1968 1ST PRESS LP:

  • This is your chance to bid on this great VINYL album by the group SAVOY BROWN. 
  • Issued in July 1968 on the DECCA label, this was the band's second album. 
  • The album contains a version of WILLIE DIXON's "YOU NEED LOVE" which itself was a blueprint LED ZEPPELIN'S "WHOLE LOTTA LOVE".
  • Engineer - Roy Baker...early work of Roy Thomas Baker.
The item for sale here is the RARER MONO version on the RED Decca label with the UNBOXED logo.   This particular copy is in GREAT CONDITION. It is very rare to find albums of this vintage in such great condition. DON'T MISS OUT.    Tracklisting: Side One:

VINYL: The vinyl is in VG/ excellent condition. The vinyl is still bright & shiny. There are some surface marks which are noticeable but these do not effect ones listening pleasure. There are some pops & clicks (there is an noticeable one at the start of track 2 on Side One), but these are only what one would expect on a record that is 46 years old. As this is a heavy duty MONO sixties pressing it was built to last & still sounds great.   YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER COPY - DON'T MISS OUT!   SLEEVE: The front LAMINATED sleeve is in VG/ excellent condition. Sleeve manufactured by Clout & Baker Ltd. There is some slight lifting of the laminate on the front cover. There is some very slight corner wear. The rear of the cover (which is not laminated) shows some signs of aging & grubbiness. There is some slight loss of print on the spine. Please see photos below.   INNER SLEEVE: The record is housed in an original DECCA MONO polythene lined inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is in very good condition.
