Audiophile Week here at 33anda3rd!. Lots of 60's stereo to come later this week, plus unusual repertoire and limited pressings.
Uk Columbia SAX 2264 Blue Silver 1st labels in a flipback sleeve with gold stereophonic sticker: Oistrakh & Fournier in the Brahms Double Concerto with the Philharmonia under Galleria. This has been cleaned on a Moth professional wash and vacuum machine and listened to throughout by me. Knowing this to be a sought after Lp, I have given plenty of attention in coming to the following conclusions: On a good moving coil through a high end system, I play grade this excellent minus, some surface noise in several places, mainly side 1. Generally both of the soloists heard to fine effect throughout. Under a bright light some fine paper scuffs, no deep scratches. No spindle marks to the labels. Sleeve is in beautiful Near mint condition, full original whiteness to rear, all seams good, no bends, flips well secured still, no attempts at lifting the gold stereophonic sticker. Just remember, excellent means not near mint or mint minus, but the next grade below that, minus being that next step down.Original picture inner is present and this is additionally contained in a new Nagaoka anti static inner.
Everything else in our list is Near Mint, some even unplayed. Lots of great violin, piano and cello added every week. Many top notch Violin, Piano & early stereo rarities in my list this week..
