This Auction is for The Lp - Beethoven Violin Concerto in D , Major, Op.61 - David Oistrakh with The French National Radio Orchestra Conducted by Andre Cluytens.

1959 Blue/Silver Label Stereo Pressing on the Columbia Records Label - Matrix - YLX 1006 - 2 & YLX 1007 - 16.

Side 1: First Movement: Allegro ma non troppo - Cadenza (by Kreisler). 

Side 2: Second Movement: Larghetto leading to: - Third Movement: Rondo (Allegro - Cadenza (by Kreisler) - Tempo 1). 

Vinyl - Ex - The record looks as though it has only been played a few times, The surface still has a lovely sheen, there are some light hairlines which can be seen under strong light those on side 2 being a little more noticeable but these don't affect playback and are usually caused by something as simple as putting the Vinyl in and out of the sleeve, 

It plays with a lovely Deep Rich Stereo sound with only very minimal barely audible light static background noise occasionally heard, However there are occasional light static clicks/ticks heard in places although no more than 7 or 8 on each side ( 5 are consecutive near the middle of the record on side 1), I find this is quite common on pressings of this age even where the playing surfaces are still in as excellent a condition as this one and it detracts very little from the excellent sound and enjoyment of the record.

Sleeve - Ex - Provided in the Original Sleeve as pictured which has some age related wear, dis colouring although nothing major as can be seen in the pics.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. 

Please note: A mid range technics turntable was used to play test the Record - Results may vary on Inferior or Superior quality playback equipment.
