Description

HERE on the much coveted blue and silver Columbia label is an ultra rare stereo copy of Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op 61, featuring David Oistrakh, with the French National Radio Orchestra conducted by Andre Cluytens. The disc, 'Made in Great Britain' in 1959, is in near mint condition with no marks to be seen on either side of the vinyl, even when examined under unforgiving halogen lighting. The beautiful labels are both in perfect condition with no unwanted writing, tears or blemishes of any kind, and not a spindle mark to be seen. This disc genuinely looks as though it has never been played - I doubt you will ever find a better copy. The front laminated patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse flipback single sleeve is in VG+ condition with hardly any creasing, no unwanted writing or sticker tears and just a little cornerwear at the bottom of the spine and a small blemish towards the bottom of the opening edge where there is a tiny loss of laminate/colour (see photos).
