In Great Condition & Cleaned by a Degritter

This is beautiful and VERY dynamic music & nicely recorded. It is performed by Carlo Maria Giulini and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Album first released in1960. Side 2 features two pieces of music by Ravel: Daphnis & Chloe and Alborada Del Gracioso, which have quieter segments when compared to Side 1.

I once owned 72 lineal feet of mostly pristine LP’s, many played maybe once or not at all — I was collecting way too much! I pared down to a smaller collection after selling my state-of-the-art stereo system (VPI turntable / Graham tonearm / Benz Micro cartridge) about 20 + years ago. This record has been stored unplayed under ideal conditions since that disposal. My decision to end my "high-end" playing days was also due to a deteriorating hearing condition. I have only played this LP twice, once back then in my "high-end" days and once again recently before offering it now for sale.

Overall LP condition: Appears unplayed and visually overall it is excellent (no scratches). It is in very nice shape for a 64 year old LP! It plays flat too. The LP’s spine hole is clean and round.

Overall character of play: It plays very nicely — with real good orchestral “weight” in the lower mid range -- the "Hat" is loud dynamic music! Background vinyl noise is very low - the Degritter record cleaning certainly aids in lowering background sounds!
I have no qualms representing this particular LP as excellent sounding overall, with "defects" having minimal impact on the music.   I think it deserves even a M- because intrusions are subtle but for one tick between passages. But it isn't perfect - from my notes (based on single play):
Side 1 There seems to be 2-3 minor sounds (possibly more) near the end of the music which I almost didn't notice. But based on viewing record play with Pure Vinyl software, which can indicate a waveform shape that may produce an odd sound, there are a few such spots near the end. How they sound will very from system to system. However, the orchestra is playing strongly, so it virtually "drowns out" what may be defects.

Side 2, there is one very noticeable tic between cuts about 1/3 the way in; then I detected at least 3 sounds 40% to 50% into the LP during music play. They are not very obvious, not repetitive & barely noticeable. How they sound will very from system to system.
I need to emphasize, I can not hear really high frequency light tics, if present.  I doubt that is a problem due to great record condition, plus it has been cleaned multiple times with my Degritter on the longest cycle (app 15+ minutes of ultrasonic treatment. Additionally, the end user should remove static.
Jacket Condition is very good. Front art work is laminated - and the LP has left a light imprint of it’s outer edge that you can see in the right light because the jacket material is thin. The lamination is peeling a little near the spine. The art work is clean and I’ve tried to render the album’s original colors as true as I can (I’m a photographer).

Back text is very clean and readable & the white face is very slightly brownish. The LP spine is clean and readable. The structural integrity of the jacket is excellent.
The LP comes with a quality 6 mil outer sleeve over the jacket. When shipped the LP will be removed from jacket to prevent tears & damage to the jacket.

The LP will be shipped insured. Media Mail is a touch slower but inexpensive.
Equipment used to evaluate and care for the record: Also pictured is the VPI Scout turntable & Ortophon Black MM cartridge with Shibata stylus that I use for playback and my static removing rig & Degritter record cleaning machine.    I'm trying to show how well this LP has been handled while in my possession. No brushes or other tools have touched the record.
