Description
First Columbia (blue and silver labels) of Mendelssohn's ''Scotch'' Symphony No.3 in A minor, Op.56 (''Scotch) Overture ''The Hebrides'' (Fingal's Cave), Op.26 with Otto Klemperer conducting The Philharmonia Orchestra. Vinyl retains a lovely shine and has had very limited playing with both sides remaining mark and hairline free. Playback is excellent with just a very occasional audible ''pop'' and a touch of static crackling in the quietest sections which could probably be removed with professional cleaning. Both labels remain in excellent condition and are free of any marks or writing. The outer cover/sleeve remains in excellent condition with no rips or tears evident just the lightest of edge and corner wear. Please note that the original owner of the record has written some numbers in the top left hand corner of the rear of the cover. The record comes with its original poly-lined cover which is also rip and tear free but is rather creased.
