THE BEETHOVEN SYMPHONIES. NUMBER 7 IN A MAJOR, OP. 92.
OTTO KLEMPERER CONDUCTING THE PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA.
SAX 2415, BLUE/SILVER COLUMBIA LABEL. STEREO.
This is from another batch of classical records donated from a single collection to a local hospice which I am selling on their behalf. Because this collection is smaller than the first one I sold, I am able to listen to each record in its entirety to determine condition. Listening is done on a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz front end. Ebay always has plenty of the "brown" cover records from this series, but this is the first time I've ever seen the "lilac" No.7 LP. So, I'm guessing it's very, very rare. Side one has some minor background noise to the opening few minutes and during some quiet parts - overall the side rates as excellent. Side two has some occasional very faint background noise to some quiet parts, only mentioned for total accuracy and paranoia. It still gets a near mint rating from me and I'm going to give a combined rating for the two sides of EX+. The flipback cover retains its original gold stereo sticker and is near mint front and back.
