Description
SAX 2484 is a set of fantastic recordings of Maazel conducting the Philharmonia. This is an exquisite capturing of Debussy's "Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune" & a wonderfully dynamic recording & performance of Ravel's orchestration of Musssorgsky's "Pictures At An Exhibition". There are some light ticks on Band 1, Side 1 caused by a visible scuff. This results in 3 ticks at 0.55 & 10 ticks at 2.15. Aside from that there is a minimal amount of surface noise/static audible throughout. This increases somewhat in the closing seconds of Side 1. Apart from the scuff already mentioned there are numerous feint scratches on both sides visible under strong light. The sleeve shows minor signs of wear & is slightly grubby (see pictures). Fundamentally though it is in sound condition. Includes original inner sleeve. This is a brilliant record!

All records are vacuum cleaned & listened to once in their entirety on a Technics 1210 with a brand new Ortofon stylus. All records come in custom mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records are removed from sleeves before posting & will come in a brand new dust sleeve. Where possible I will attempt to include the original dust sleeve. Records & sleeves will also be protected by a polythene sleeve I'll include as part of the sale. I will only send via either 'second class recorded delivery' within the UK or 'international signed for' for other customers.
