Description

For auction from my father's collection is this superb original 1st Stereo copy of Brahms Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 77. Released on Columbia records Cat. No. SAX 2411 in 1961. The record is in superb condition, it has a nice black sheen, and the labels are in perfect condition. The sleeve is also in excellent condition, with just slight signs of wear on each corner. The laminated flip back sleeve still has a nice shine, and the rear, with sleeve notes by Andrew Porter, is clean and white. The spine is still solid with the titles intact and clear. A superb copy of this rare 1st issue album, that plays through without fault. It has a low starting price and no reserve. Superb playing from David Oistrach, with the French National Radio Orchestra conducted by Otto Klemperer. Brilliant!!!
