RARE European-only issue from long ago, puts together the complete 1969 recordings by The Corporation, on one Lp ...a collection worthy Milwukee Wisconsin garage band who's first album (on Capitol) is quite the 'in' thing with psych collectors (see our copy this week) ...

Actually, The Corporation had a second album recorded for Capitol, but they were apparently cut loose after that fantastic first album. The tracks within this album are from the unreleased second album which was spread across the two (2nd & 3rd) albums issued on Minnesota local "Aquarius" label in 1969 and 1970 and titled "Get On Our Swing" and "Hassles in My Mind". One of the highlights throughout are the striking high voltage and ripping distortion/fuzz guitar breaks... ...Most bands usually would have a self, or micro label, release prior to signing a major label deal, not the reverse - as the sound of both these Aquarius label LP's, are definitely more crude, more garag-ier, and just plain earlier sounding, than the Capitol LP. This could be due to certain production values, present on their first, which were not available for the second LP. But the differences sound like far more than just production related. We definitely have a much easier time accepting the "one album spread over two releases" scenario. The music on "Get On Our Swing" is stronger, primarily garage driven, with strong psych flavor, and featuring lots of fuzz, organ, flute, and vocal harmony, as well as good song writing. Overall, the 2nd part of this album (released as the 3rd album) has less of a garage feel than it's predecessor, with additional of a hardrock feel mixed with some mild prog moves, via plenty of flute and organ including liberal doses of mighty fuzz guitar still inject a lot of psych flavor to the mainly heavy material found here.
