We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. STARK NAKED, from the east coast was an underground-rock crew with female & male vocalist & killer backing band. Stark Naked managed to release their only album, in 1971. It is a superb and very under-rated progressive/psych sound with long organ tracks, fuzz guitar, and some affective female vocal leads and trade offs. The opening cut, All Of Them Witches, is one of those long extended, elaborate tracks that characterized the progressive-psych era, but the whole album in particular is an excellent and interesting amalgamation of prog, hard rock and psych.
The lengthy opener, “All of Them Witches” appears to be a thinly-veiled anti-drug song, whose lyrics can be interpreted as a symbolic diatribe about the vocalist’s heroin-ravaged friends. Listen to it now by clicking BELOW on arrow =>

Elsewhere, Richard Belsky’s lead guitar riff on “Minnesota Strip ” and other tracks seems to have come from a ton of inspiration by the contemporary heavy guitar theatrics of Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi. The band were also known for their elaborate, pyrotechnical stage presentations, later emulated by the like of the Alice Cooper group.
The albums plus is Belsky’s nasty guitar solos, which are vicious, but thankfully don’t succumb to the early 70's typical sin of overindulgence.
Unfortunately for the band, the album failed to sell and that, coupled with allegations that the band’s manager absconded with all their funds while they were on the road, led to the band’s premature demise. Perhaps they would have had better luck if they opted to issue as a single, the dreamy ballad, “Wasted Time,” which once again features Belsky’s tasty guitar solos married to Paul Venier’s Pink Floydian, wah-wah keyboard flourishes. It’s easily the album’s best track.
Still, fans of 70’s hard rock may get kicks out of the epic side two opener, the 11+ minute, “Look Again,” which opens with Venier’s ruminating solo, a la Jethro Tull’s “Locomotive Breath.” And the ensuing 5-minute jam is highlighted once again by Belsky’s mouthwatering soloing and drummer, John Fragos’ voracious skin-pounding, almost worth the price of admission.
Overall, the album will appeal to fans of early 70s’ hard rock and there’s a nice nostalgic buzz going for it, although Venier’s vocals could use a little polish – they occasionally alternate between flat and off key.
