Description

Extremely Scarce Antique Blues 78 Record by "Kansas City" Frank (Frank Melrose)
Artist: Kansas City Frank (Frank Melrose) Label: Brunswick 7000 Race Series #7062 Release Date: March 8, 1929 Title: Jelly Roll Stomp / Pass the Jug Style: Piano Blues/Boogie-Woogie/Ragtime Grade: E  10" Shellac no sleeve
*I am not an expert on vinyl/shellac, the grading is based on my opinion using the VJM 78 Grading System.
This is an incredible and extremely rare record in excellent condition!  78 Quarterly estimated at one time that there were less than 20 copies of this #7062 record!  However, the accuracy of that cannot be confirmed.   This is an amazing opportunity to own a rare piece of early American blues music!
Frank Melrose (1907-1941) was a blues and jazz pianist who recorded as "Kansas City Frank".  He became one of the leading music figures in the Chicago Blues and Jazz scene in the 1920's and 1930's.  Frank was known to work with Jelly Roll Morton and his last recording session was with Bud Jacobson in 1941.  Shortly after, Frank was found murdered in Hammond, IN.
*I did not test this record, as I didn't want to chance putting a scratch or scuff in the currently beautiful state it is in!  However, if you really want me to test it, please don't hesitate to ask.

This record will be packed VERY carefully, with lots of protection, double boxed and shipped out within 1 business day after receipt of payment via USPS Priority Mail.

*I do have several record Lots for sale right now, and will have more in the upcoming week, please take a look at my other listings if interested.  I will combine shipping.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all, thank you!
