Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. SCARCE, even rare these days, old 70's Italian release of the famously collected "ASH RA TEMPEL" '7-UP' Lp that delivers a rollercoaster hang-on-to-your-mind cosmic adventure. The laminated cover art is exclusive to this release only, having a completely different cover for the German issue.
This is a rather strange collaboration with drugs guru Timothy Leary...The first classic album produced by R.U Kaiser for the Cosmic Couriers label. Recorded in 1973, 'Seven up' is a medley of free form raw fuzzed-out acid rock with spacey electronic arrangements (Space) and floating psychedelic-space soundscape (Time). Timothy Leary who was among others the Guru of the psychedelic philosophy added vocals parts and recitations, particularly in the first tune. Extremely rough and trippy this album is historically a must for those who are in Krautrock, psych, progressive and early days of German "cosmic" music.
The first side of the album is listed as "Space," which is probably a fitting name for any track this band produced. The raw acid-blues blasts away at full tilt on sections like "Downtown" and "Right Hand Lover" - wailing walls of intense psychedelic fuzzrock with Ash Ra Tempel's minds being melted by Timothy Learly's L.S.D dosed in 7-UP (the drink)... The band soon begin searching for the great cosmic sound of Om. Just picture these freaks playing this stuff at a bewildered high school dance and your bound to dig it.
Side two's "Time" is more Ash Ra Tempel per what they were known for - tripping-out in deep space. It's a very chilly cosmic psi-fi that lightly recycles themes from their "Join Inn" album and bears a bit of resemblance to Tangerine Dream's Alpha Centauri. This makes sense as Steve Schroyder played organ on both recordings. Leary has a very different role with some strange spoken word vocals often over some beautiful wordless female singing. We don't hear quite so much of Gottsching's guitar on "Time" as is typical ...As Einstein theorized, space and time belong together.
Overall the album is about as psychedelic as acid-progressive-rock music gets. You really don't need the help of any substances for this one to utterly and completely blow your mind. It doesn't hurt that the cover art is flipped-out as well.
