SCENE 65 - SIXTEEN TOP R&B TRACKS

this is just about the rarest 60s compilation record you will find, featuring:

the Animals, Georgie Fame, Manfred Mann, the Yardbirds, Downliners Sect, Alexis Korner, Zoot Money, the Zephyrs, the Bo Street Runners, the Fairies, Mickey Finn and the Measles

this is an incredibly rare record. Generally speaking, compilation records have little appeal and rarely enter the realm of collectability, but this particular album has to be one of the rarest and most sought after 60s compilations as it features tracks by groups who, for the most part, made no albums and were exclusively a singles group. The Bo Street Runners, for example, made one EP (49 copies only, apparently), the Zephyrs, the Fairies, the Measles and Mickey Finn similarly made no albums and their recordings in general are mega rare and impossible to find. Not only is this a collection of fantastic mid 60s recordings, it might be the only testament to some of these groups' existence you will find!

Vinyl in EXCELLENT- Condition

Sleeve in VERY GOOD+ Condition

The vinyl displays minor wear only, and despite very light surface wear, it has been well cared for. Absolutely no playing faults whatsoever and the record is still a great-looking example with just general wear and a couple of mega-fine surface marks. The labels display some spider marks around the spindle holes, but no damage or writing and they are very clean. The sleeve is also very respectable. The laminated front is in great shape with only a few short creases near the spine, the heaviest centrally located. No significant edge wear, no splits, no tears. No writing to rear, which is still very clean. Two creases can be seen to the spine flipback, but overall the rear is very respectable. A tiny, tiny scuff just above the photo of the Animals, but again, not serious.
