Thick solid, high gloss vinyl is extremely close to new with only few small faintest sleeve marks, viewed under hard bright light that are 100% inaudible and purely cosmetic - invisible in normal light. Play Grade: Superb, bold, bright super clear NM or better. Clean, unmarked labels both sides.

COVER is EX
Thick gatefold cover has a light touch of ring wear, mostly just by top, bottom edges. No creases, writing or soil. Corners sharp, edges straight. Strong sheen still to semi-gloss cover stock. Inside gatefold extremely clean. Seams and spine completely intact with no splits.

The very First and Best SCORPIONS album
This is the groups earliest (1972) incarnation way back when they were a powerful heavy prog-psych band featuring two dynamic guitarists (the Shenker brothers) playing off one another in doomy dark hardrock based songs; lots of echoey leads, wide range vocals, ominous freaky atmospherics, acid-rock passages amid tight electrified playing -- quite impressive from start to finish...

...Rudolf Schenker, the band's rhythm guitarist, launched SCORPIONS in 1965. At first, the band had beat influences and Schenker himself did the vocals. Things began to come together in 1969 when Schenker's younger brother Michael and vocalist Klaus Meine joined the band. In 1972, the group recorded and released their debut album Lonesome Crow, with Lothar Heimberg on bass and Wolfgang Dziony on drums -produced by Krautrock master Conny Plank.

Sounding somewhat like a Krautrock version of Black Sabbath with a slight hippie vibe, centered on dark hard psych rock. Despite being released (in Germany) in 1972, this album is very 60s. With dreamy atmosphere, prominent bass and fiery lead guitar, overall sound is quite comparable with Jimi Hendrix, Cream and early Deep Purple; the ending epic Lonesome Crow contains a lot of jamming and psychedelia in the spirit of time. It’s an overall outstanding album with a sense of doomy adventure...not a bad track on either side, highlights are everywhere!
