This is one of a series of rare or sealed LPs and EPs that I will be listing over the next several weeks.
This item is an original sealed and mint vinyl LP pressing of the album entitled Virgin Killer by The Scorpions. This particular pressing is the 1976 German import RCA Records pressing, with cat# PPL 1-4225. Whenever I think of this album, I think of the classic SNL skit from the first season about Smucker’s Jam. Remember the commercial – “With a name like Smucker’s, it has to be good?” Well, the premise of the skit was that they came up with increasingly more obnoxious and disgusting names, including Dog Vomit, Money Pus and Ten Thousand Nuns and Orphans (All Eaten by Rats). This album was released in a climate of pushing the envelope, searching for that elusive and indefinable point where it all goes too far. This album came about as close as one could ever come. It is surprising that RCA released it but, perhaps predictably, it was released in the US with an alternate cover to this one from Europe. In any event, this is a Paypal-only auction.
I am not a dealer, and all of the items I place up for auction are from my personal collection gathered over the past forty years (education expenses – and soon-to-be college expenses -- are the reason I am selling my collection...). Shipping and handling is determined by weight and is per record, not per title. The shipping costs are as follows: $4.00 for one record via media mail to anywhere in the U.S. Each additional record is $0.35 in addition for media mail shipping. Priority shipping within the U.S. is a function of weight and postal zone, and in my post-auction invoice, I will e-mail to you the cost of priority (I can also provide you with the info, if you e-mail me your zip code and the record(s) you are interested in). Insurance through the USPS and delivery confirmation through the USPS are available – once again, my post-auction invoice will provide the basic information. If you are overseas or in Canada, the two basic types of shipping are 1st Class International (less expensive) and Priority International (more costly but slightly faster) which are also a function of weight and distance. I will provide the cost for each option in my post-auction invoice (and, again, I can provide you with the info, if you e-mail me your zip code and the record(s) you are interested in). I will always combine items, so that your shipping costs will be more manageable. Payment can be made by paypal, U.S. Postal Service money orders, bank money orders or bank checks, by personal check in U.S. Dollars (if you have more than 50 positive feedback entries, and personal checks must clear before item is shipped), or in cash in U.S. Dollars. If I do not receive payment for an item within twenty (20) days of the end of the auction and/or I do not hear from you in response to follow-up e-mails, I will consider the auction results void and relist the item(s) for auction.
