This Deeper Roots 12" grabs early 80s and late 70s material, pairing Delton Screechie and Tyrone Taylor in extended form: 'Living In The Ghetto', first from 1982, bears Screechie's vocal downt o a weighty dub, backed by Roots Radics in full stride, rhythm stretching out into a Tubby-esque echo chamber. There's lineage here too, Screechie being a cousin of Augustus Pablo, and sharing his intuition for melodica-derived heft.
