When Monteux accepted the invitation in 1935 to lead The San Francisco Symphony, the world he left behind, a world rich with collaborations with French composers and late Romantic symphonic repertoire. All of this flourished in San Francisco during his tenure 1935-1952

Offered is the premiere electrical process recording from 1932 by Scriabin champion, Leopold Stokowski and The Philadelphia Orchestra.
This is paired with Prometheus for Piano and Orchestra. This is Victor M-125 in EE+ condition. **NOTE, one of the discs is a replacement late 1930s circular red:otherwise completely scroll. **NOTE, the jacket has waterstaining at bottom as shown: A FILLER JACKET until a better one shows up
