SCRITTI POLITTI Skank Bloc Bologna DEBUT SELF PRESS SINGLE Fold Out Slv EX! Punk
SCRITTI POLITTI
Scank Bloc Bologna
Ltd. Edition
Self Pressed Debut Single
This is a copy of Scritti Politti’s very rare debut single - self pressed and released on their own St. Pancras label in 1978.
It is all the more rare because it’s in excellent condition. I’m also listing a copy of their other self pressed EP ‘Messthetics’. Please look at my other items.
This limited edition single comes in a fold out sleeve with rubber stamped paper labels. The fold out sleeve details the production costs involved in this self pressed single.
"The band exhibited an explicit do-it-yourself attitude, which manifested itself in their hand-made record sleeves with detailed breakdowns of production costs, including addresses and phone numbers of record pressing plants, and their own Camden squat address for feedback.”

This single is part of a large private collection belonging to a friend; an avid collector who bought the items new in the 1970s/80s and 90s. They are all original, cared for and mostly in excellent condition. Please do take a look at my other listings.

The records are graded visually, using the Record Collector grading system (see below). Where applicable, the sleeve is graded first, followed by the vinyl.
Postage & Packing: £2.00 (UK), £4.00 (Rest of Europe), £6.00 (Worldwide).
I charge only actual cost of postage and packing and will seek most cost effective method. I am happy to combine items and pass on any saving. Proof of Posting is obtained for every item sent but on valuable or more expensive items, you might want to consider sending it signed for or tracked, which I can organise.
Payment: Paypal
Feedback: If you are happy with your item, please leave positive feedback and I will do the same. If, for any reason, you are not happy, please get in touch so I can attempt to resolve any concern.
Record Collector Grading System:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
