Description
SEALED! Here for your listening pleasure is ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING SEALED vinyl on the highly collected DECCA RECORDS label of the sixties. The CAKE were an intersting girl group trio...this is their first and arguably best of two L's relreased in 1967 and 1968...
.
The Cake were allowed to freely explore all of their artistic ambitions.Their sound is full and vibrant. They were the original punks of girl group poprock.
The Cake's sound is seasoned with baroque, psychedelic and medieval influences not seen by any 60s girl group of that time. With a unique sound, "Medieval Love" is a lovely tune, and luckily, they harmonize perfectly with fabulous results. "Fire Fly" and "Rainbow Wood" continue in this medieval vein. Now more in the vain of that girl group sound we all seek out "Baby That's Me". Their takes on "Stand By Me", and the album closer "What'd I Say" are well placed!
