Highly underestimated Hard Psych Rock classic loaded up on GREAT original material that is filled with killer twin lead guitars and infectious tunes in English language -- all with the 'right' sound... not a bad track on either side!!!
Outside The Law was Epitaph's third album...While the first two Epitaph records (German Polydor) were classic hard guitar progressives, Outside The Law is more hard-rock oriented with a killer rated sound and centered on strong self penned tunes loaded with melody hooks and feature impressive flying dual guitar leads -- in the best way !
British born Cliff Jackson (vocals & 2nd guitarist) has a great delivery, an accessible sound that provides a great surprise for those unknown to the album. While Cliff Jackson vocals are indeed classic, his guitar playing with guitarist Klaus Walz is action packed as they run off constant flurries... the track "Reflection" is a fine display of their talent as well as "Tequila Shuffle" ... "In Your Eyes" is a nice contrast to the more blistering work on the other tracks. These guys could write killer tunes, there is no denying that and poor management never helped matters in getting the right promotion (airplay, concerts, etc). Epitaph and their album "Outside The Law" makes for an interesting obscurity worthy of many plays.
