SEALED ~BEATLES-SECOND ALBUM~LATE 60s-MID 70s PRESSING. PASTE-OVER FRONT~NO UPC
In the mid-late 1970's Capitol Records started to print the cover artwork directly onto the thick white board which the covers were made from. Prior to that time, Capitol used a assembly process for making all their original covers which required a pre-printed & die-cut piece of the cover artwork to be glued onto the front of the record cover which also covered up the ends of the rear artwork which were folded over to the front. As you can easily see on any of the old original covers, the edges of the rear artwork are underneath the edges of the front artwork and you can easily see the rear edges beneath the front cover artwork.
This album could have an Apple label, a red label or possibly a rainbow label on the record but without opening it, we won't know. I can tell you the pressing plant number is 18 on the rear bottom right corner. This album was in a collection I bought from a collector about 35 years ago.

The catalog number of this album is the original; Capitol ST2080. Once Capitol added UPC barcodes to the Beatles albums, the catalog numbers were also were revised beginning in the late 1970's.

After doing a little more research in the Perry Cox book, I believe the label color on this pressing would most likely be the Capitol lime green.
