SCARCE 1970 (original 'Columbia Records) first issue of the very first Big Brother and The Holding Company album ... Columbia Records bought out the rights from the Mainstream Record label (in 1970) and issued their own version of the first album ADDING very rare non-Lp tracks from Big Brother & Janis 1st 45 "Coo Coo" and "Last Time" ...terrific fuzzed psych garage grooves...essential !

The very first album by Janis Joplin, recorded in 1967 ...a great hard psychedelic garage winner with raw & wild edges throughout, terrific dual fuzz guitars, psychedelic moves all over (Light Is Faster Than Sound, etc), and the powerful voice of Joplin before she was known; one can clearly can sense the major importance of this legendary singer in her early stages, grinding, belting & roaring amid the tight fuzzrock of BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY, one of 60's San Francisco's finest!
