💿 DESCRIPTION

This is a sealed US vinyl reissue of Elvis Presley's historic 1973 live album, "Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite". The item is factory sealed in its original shrink wrap. This specific copy is a Quadraphonic pressing (branded as "quadradisc" by RCA), designed to provide discrete 4-channel sound when played on compatible equipment. It features a prominent red hype sticker on the front referencing the "Memories of Elvis" NBC-TV show from November 1977, indicating this copy was manufactured and sold shortly after Elvis's death as part of the memorial tributes.

💎 CONDITION vinyl: Presumed MINT (unplayed) cover: Factory-sealed, never opened 🧾 NOTES FOR COLLECTORS

  • Posthumous Pressing: The presence of the "Memories of Elvis" sticker, which cites an NBC-TV show from November 1977, confirms this is a reissue pressed shortly after Elvis passed away in August 1977.

  • Quadraphonic Format: Despite being a later pressing, this album retains the "quadradisc" branding and specific catalog number (CPD2-2642) for RCA's CD-4 Quadraphonic series. Quadraphonic vinyl was a precursor to surround sound and requires a specialized stylus and demodulator to hear the 4-channel mix, though it plays in stereo on standard turntables.

  • Jacket Variant: The back cover features the code "RE 2" in the bottom center, indicating a revision to the jacket printing.

  • Global Appeal: The back cover famously translates "We Love Elvis" into multiple languages, emphasizing the global nature of the original satellite broadcast.
