NOTE FROM SELLER:

 A unique edition of Neil Young’s debut solo album, originally released in 1969. This version was prepared by Reprise/Warner in 2024 as part of the Neil Young Archives Official Release Series and includes two different mono presentations of the album: Original Mono Recording – the mono version of the 1968 original mix with Haeco-CSG processing. Reversed CSG Mono Version – the corrected version with the CSG phase removed, restoring the sound the way Neil always wanted it to be heard. Mastered by Chris Bellman (CB), renowned for his high-quality work on Neil Young’s archival reissues. Features: Format: 2xLP, black vinyl, likely 180 gram. Original cover art with no “Neil Young” text on the front, replicating the first 1968 pressing. Deluxe gatefold sleeve. Hype sticker on shrink wrap: “Original Mono Recording / Reversed CSG Mono Version / How Neil Always Wanted the Album to Sound.” Insert card promoting Neil Young Archives. Barcode: 093624852902. Comparison with original releases: The first 1968 pressing used the stereo mix with Haeco-CSG processing, which dulled the sound. In 1969, Neil remixed the album without CSG; this stereo remix became the standard for decades. This 2024 reissue is the first time both mono versions are presented on vinyl – the original CSG mix in mono, and the corrected “CSG-reversed” mono. Rarity and collectibility: This edition was never officially released. A small number of copies were manufactured, but the release was canceled before reaching stores. A few copies surfaced on the secondary market, making this an instant collectible rarity.
