Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (cat# MFSL-2-157)
Sealed Original 1984 Audiophile Pressing
This is a factory-sealed Mobile Fidelity pressing of The Allman Brothers Band's Eat A Peach released in 1984. The 1984 MFSL pressing has the blue band at the top, not a red band. Mobile Fidelity is famous for using the original master studio tape and transferring it at 1/2 speed to capture every nuance of the recording. The records are specially plated and pressed in Japan by JVC with their highest quality vinyl, a proprietary blend called "supervinyl," which produces maximum clarity, an extra-quiet album and a playing lifespan 5x longer than standard mass-produced vinyl. This copy was purchased at the time of it's release and carefully stored away. There is a small break in the shrinkwrap at the top of the spine (see photo), otherwise this is 100% mint.
