Description
It's been 55 years that this debut solo LP from Paul McCartney has been waiting for you. Released in April of 1970, it went straight to the top of the LP charts and was a stark contrast to his band mate’s solo efforts in the wake of ‘Get Back.’ Recorded in his home studio, there were some wonderful moments in this outing for Paul, including the song “Maybe I’m Amazed” that is buried deep on side two. How this instant classic didn’t get released as a single in 1970 is a mystery, but then none of the songs from McCartney were released as singles – cementing the sales of the LP.
This is the first pressing of this album, with the three-line credit on the back cover with the New York address and NO mention of ABKCO. It is clearly the STAO pressing and not the SMAS pressing. Full spine, bright graphics, and ready to be slabbed if that is your thing.
THIS PERFECT original of the groundbreaking LP is just as it was when it was racked for sale in 1970. Not sure who’s tag this is with the tiny TMCD in the corner. The initial price of $5.98 was reduced to $4.00. This IS NOT a cutout and has no marks on the jacket to keep it from perfect. No bumped corners, no splits in the shrink.
