Description

MEGA RARE ORIGINAL FACTORY-SEALED 1st PRESSING!!! ALICE IN CHAINS "ALICE IN CHAINS " (aka, the "tripod album"). Original 1995 factory sealed 1st pressing; Columbia Records (C2 67248).
To many, the Grunge Era produced the most urgent and structurally intelligent music since the recognized inception of Rock. It was also more tragic than even the psychedelic period. 
Alice in Chains epitomized the moody and emotionally charged creative achievements of Grunge, and also faced tragedy around the dark corners of their artistic alley with the death of lead singer Layne Staley.
This self-titled LP was sadly the final studio project before Staley untimely death. It was also a masterful epitaph.  Leader Jerry Cantrell 's songwriting reached an unknowing summit with songs like "Heaven Beside You," "Grind," "Over Now." 
MINT- FACTORY-SEALED CONDITION!!! Only the slightest hint of a very minor crease in the lower left corner area that many graders would not even mention given its insignificance. THIS IS A GORGEOUS ORIGINAL THAT YOU WILL NOT FIND ANYTIME SOON!
