SEALED and EXTREMELY RARE! VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN ORIGINAL FACTORY SEALED CONDITION! RADIO STATION-ONLY PICTURE DISC PROMO SAMPLER! ELVIS COSTELLO "MY AIM IS TRUE"/"THIS YEAR'S MODEL" Official 1978 CBS Records 12" picture disc sampler!
Side one features the album cover of Costello's second LP "This Year's Model," whereas side two features the cover for his debut album, "My Aim Is True."
Elvis Costello's first two albums were quintessential songwriting exhibits of of intelligent anger of the most dangerous kind--a genuine anger channeled through creative channels. The lyrics had a violent voyeurism that was cannoned by fiercely wrought musicianship.
This picture is a magnificent work of art and should be treated as such. However, for those who insist on breaking the seal and playing the sides, side one from "My Aim Is True" includes "Welcome to the Working Week," "Miracle Man," "(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes," "Less Than Zero," "Alison," and "Watching the Detectives;" side two from "This Year's Model" features "Hand in Hand," "No Action," "This Year's Girl," "Lip Service," "Living in Paradise," and "Radio Radio."
