SEARCH PARTY Montgomery Chapel OG Psych Grail RARE mp3
THE SEARCH PARTY : Montgomery Chapel Ultra rare original issue legendary Christian psych Lp recorded in California in 1968 or '69 on the infamous Century label (32013). Incredibly scarce (6 Stars from Hans Pokora) with only a small quantity pressed. Of all that has been written and all the reviews about this record that I might have quoted, one of the more entertaining statements came from AMG descibing their music as "...time-capsule mood pieces in their evocative otherworldliness, at times sounding a little like a psychedelic seance..." The sound clips came from the actual record and are unmanipulated. I attempted to include a variety of the styles performed and a full 3 minutes of the nine minute epic "So Many Things Have Got Me Down".
cover : nm- in the original shrink with some light yellowing / foxing along the opening.
record : nm- it appears in unplayed condition with full gloss and some insignificant, barely visible storage/sleeve marks, a few moments of nearly inaudible inherent pressing noise. I played this record in it's entirety once, along with recording the sound clips and found the fidelity amazing.
