Description

Sebadoh -- Asshole 7"EP

Original 1990 US release on Vertical Records (catalog # V-003, matrix #s VPAG-5347/VPAG-5348), in Picture Sleeve, with xeroxed lyric/artwork insert fold-out sheet.

This is a scarce un-colored copy of the first pressing of 500, direct from the Vertical Records guys. Almost all copies of the first pressing were given to the band for them to color the sleeves. This copy is one of only a handful that came direct from Vetical and never got colored in.

"Violent Elements" by Eric Gaffney got reworked into "As The World Dies, The Eyes Of God Grow Bigger" on Sebadoh III. "Attention" is the first ever appearance of Jason Loewenstein. "Your Long Journey" with guest vocals by Julie Talon is the mostly weirdly haunting and beautiful song Sebadoh ever did.

From discogs: "First pressing of 500 copies came in B&W sleeve, most of these sleeves were hand-colored. 2nd pressing of 500 came in a plain black sleeve. Lou Barlow wrote these songs about J. Mascis in response, possibly, to being kicked out of Dinosaur Jr. Comes with Vertical Records photocopied insert."
