SELMIS - Beginning (Fidsound ST 80061, France 1971) Very hard to find rare LP even in it's native France, amazing garagy heavy psych powertrio, plenty blazing wah-wah acid guitar, has that primitive raw garagy sound, like it was recorded in someone's house or garage which gives the record it's unique charm, not to mention the raw almost inept vocals and some songs sounding like they were never written or pre-planned, but sounding like the guys (smoked something? ) then just picked up their instruments and started jamming + flipped the record switch on the tape machine while jamming.. A true relic from past, authentic statement from 70's era. Sporadic light crackling/popping in parts on both sides,but none are really that bothersome. Minor creasing on 2 corners of cover. I think this must be one of  the heaviest records from France 'cos most other '70's stuff I've heard from over there is prog or symphonic or folky-psych.This gets a 3-DISC rating in "Record Collector Dreams" Book.
