Description
Beatles Authentic Peeled Mono 3rd State Butcher Cover
Beatles 1966 Genuine Scranton Peeled Mono Butcher Cover w/Peeled Trunk Cover, Mono Record & Inner Sleeve.
This is , another very nice quality Butcher Cover offered at a most reasonable price. Look around, as you won't touch a better Butcher of this caliber on the net for this price range as far as a nice looking peeled Butcher Slick. Most you will find under $700 do not present very well and most Butcher slicks in that price range exhibit large rips or other issues. Any condition issues are very minor and are described below. Great piece for somebody who is looking for a genuine mono butcher cover that won't empty your bank account. Even at the Buy It Now price, this is a no brainer. Or, take a chance and place a bid.
Top, Bottom Seam and Spine are mostly complete with just a few cracks here and there and chips of missing paper on the spine ends and center and a few light rub marks/cracks on the last inch end of the top and last two of the bottom seam. These have been neatly closed and don't even look like a problem. The back exhibits a few light stains, light wear and general foxing. Nothing to lose too much sleep over. The front cover is a beauty with no large tears or serious damage. Scranton machine glue lines are light.
Near Mint Peeled mono Butcher Covers can sell for as high as $1200 or even $1600 or more if they are really nice. I have often seen similar peeled mono's of lesser condition frequently sell for the $800 to $1000 range. This is a guaranteed original 1966 Capitol 3rd state mono Butcher cover.
Also, this album cover comes with the peeled trunk slick as shown (w/wrinkles and tears . Record and original goldenrod 1966 Capitol inner sleeve (sleeve has a corner tear). The record with this one appears (not been play graded) to be in VG- to G condition with many light scratches. Please note that the John Lennon t-shirt seen in the background is NOT INCLUDED in this auction !
