Description
Here is a treat for doo wop fans. Up for auction is a scarce, excellent group 45 featuring THE SEQUINS on the RED ROBIN label, from 1956. Titles are “Don’t Fall In Love” and “Why Can’t You Treat Me Right?”
This is a stock copy, burgundy label with silver print. Catalog number is 140-X45.
Condition of vinyl is nice VG to VG+ with most of the original gloss, closer to VG+. Has some scuffs and minor hairlines, but no serious problems. The vinyl does not display any significant amount of wear, and the record plays very nicely with clean sound. Labels have original owner’s name on the “A” side and initials on the “B” side (see scan). Overall a very nice playing copy and one which should certainly please most collectors.
I have provided a sound clip of approximately the first minute from both sides of this actual record (see below) so you can hear exactly how they sound. (I do not use any noise reduction software in my sound clips, and I would absolutely never buff or polish a record for cosmetic purposes, so you needn’t worry about any surprises.)
