DECCA  SET 242/6 - 5 STEREO LP RECORDS

Wide Band Grooved - ED1 "Original Recording By"

First Stereo Pressing of this Recording

Includes 48 page insert containing pictures, synopsis and full texts and translations.

Highly praised and sought after performances in this wonderful sounding stereo recording.

All the records have a brilliant sheen and show only little signs of being played - light surface marks on side 4 do not sound on playing. Other sample playing of each disc demonstrated they played faultlessly with no jumps, skips or repeated ticks, with a quiet background in clear and wonderful stereo sound.

The picture gives a very good impression of the box, which is in excellent condition, intact, very solid and robust with some shelf wear to the corners and upper edge which has a small splt. The gold on black printing on the spine is visible and both the front and back of the box are clean and undamaged.

The insert has some superficial and light handling creases but is fully intact and clean.

The 5 discs and box are visually graded as follows:  NM/83 (discs 1, 3, 4 & 5) NM 81(disc 2) and EX/78 for the box and insert (see below).

Please note that I use specialist LP mailer envelopes, boxes and sturdy card stiffeners to ensure protection of LPs in transit.

Satisfaction guaranteed - a full refund of the purchase price (excluding postage & packing costs) will be given for any item which does not comply with my description and grading and is returned to me within 14 days of receipt.

Record Condition Grading System

I apply a visual grading system as follows:

90%             Mint, (90% is the highest figure I give as no records are perfect)

80-89%       Near Mint, NM almost flawless, at 85% only the lightest scuff marks to the record, slight wear to the cover; above 85% and up to 89%, there should be no marks on the playing surface of the record.  Below 85%, down to 80%, there will be progressively more marking, but this will only be very light and superficial.

70-79%        Excellent, EX, a few more light surface marks than will be seen at 80-85%, light ring wear or creasing to cover, slight tears/laminate lift to the cover.  Remains of price labels or sellotape may be evident to the cover.

60-69%        Very Good, VG, more obvious marks to the record, more obvious creasing, ring wear or laminate lift, worse tears to the cover.  There may be ticks from the record but see below*.

The information is provided for the record first, and then for the cover or box, for example you will find NM/NM in the notes on each record followed by, for example, 85/85.  This means 85% both for the record and for the cover.

Records are viewed under both daylight and under a halogen light where practical to clearly shows any marks.

*This is a visual grading system.  If I am aware of any audio problems affecting a record, such as ticks, I will provide this information in detail.
