Description

SET 242/6 wb+g Ed.1 – WAGNER: SIEGFRIED – SOLTI/NILSSON/WINDGASSEN/HOTTER etc.

1963 Decca stereo recording on wideband grooved label Edition 1, catalogue numbers SET 242 / 6. Boxed set of 5 discs Wagner’s opera "Siegfried" with Georg Solti conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra: soloists – Birgit Nilsson, Wolfgang Windgassen, Hans Hotter, etc.

The 5 discs are in superb condition; 9 sides have no visible marks and we have not played them. Side 3 has a very faint hairline mark; we have played this side and could detect 3 light ticks. The 46-page illustrated libretto is excellent with very light creasing. Original inners. The box has a 6cm split at top rear edge and scuffing on corners
