GREETINGS! Only one auction listed this time out, but it's undoubtedly a rare'un:
SEX PISTOLS - Anarchy in the UK b/w Anarchy in the UK (EMI, 1976)
Imagine my surprise when I flipped this copy over to check the B-side's production credits & another A-side label was in its place! I can't find any reference to another example of this duplicated pressing plant oversight anywhere--Volume: International Discography of the New Wave, 45 Revolutions, Popsike, etc--Zero, zilch, zip, nada.
Of course, the correct B-side ("I Wanna Be Me") is contained in the grooves.
Matrix info is as follows:
Side 1: EMI 2566 A-1
Side 2: EMI 2566 B-2
The vinyl has one cosmetic discoloration (visible in photo 1 at approx 9 o'clock)--this factory blemish in no way affects play. Otherwise, this copy shows minimal signs of wear and was likely unplayed prior to being play-tested. I've conservatively graded this record EX. The single is in its original factory sleeve, also in EX condition. It's a beautiful copy of an unquestioned rarity.
