SEX PISTOLS - C'MON EVERYBODY - 7" SINGLE "LABEL MISTAKE" - 1st GERMAN PRESSING 1979.
Up for grabs is this Mega Rare Sex Pistols C'mon Everybody single.
The fourth single to appear from McLaren's master scam The Great Rock n Roll Swindle bearing the Sex Pistols name, Malcolm's idea was to keep pushing Sid Vicious as the ultimate kamikaze Sex Pistols front man.
Issued in the UK in a Jamie Reid hamburger with teeth Vicious-burger sleeve it was again Sid Vicious sticking his biker boots into the teeth of the Cochran standard, featuring a one take vocal from Sid on a beefed up musical backing giving the original a good run for it's money before ending with the signature Sid Vicious Sneer and a two fingered salute.
The flip of the single was the awful God Save The Queen Symphony almost unlistenable as it didn't have the McLaren fagin vocal overdub, this was only saved from being the b.side from hell by the inclusion of Whatcha Gonna Do About It.
This pressing also has a label mistake, under the song credits on the b.side it states Whatcha Gonna Do About It - Recorded in 1976 which is correct.
Under the song credits for C'mon Everybody (see photo) they have also put - Recorded in 1976 this is incorrect, this information has mistakenly been added and should have appeared on the b.side label only.
Sleeve is the same design as the UK using thin paper stock as all German sleeves were, luckily this has been cared for, minimal storage wear to the sleeve and unexpected for a record of this age the vinyl itself looks great, this has been looked after well, it doesn't look 40 plus years old.
Nothing to not like about this excellent record, a Very fine addition to any Sex Pistols collection of note.
