This record is in fair+ condition. It has lots of spindle marks visible but no pen marks, scuffs or severe fading. There is wear around the centre holes but these are not loose or overly worn. Overall the labels are in decent shape but do have clear signs of large amounts of use.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides have loads of light surface lines, scratches, marks, scuffs and groove wear visible in normal light. There is nothing that stands out as really nasty but there are scratches and marks clearly visible to both sides. There is also a small 5mm scratch at the very start and into track 1 on side 1. All the signs of use clearly show under bright light, along with more light wispy lines. So overall a well used and some what neglected vintage lp with clear signs of use to each side.
I play tested the record and it lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is minimal movement in the record arm. It played through surprisingly well with no skips or sticks. The small mark at the very beginning of the album causes the most noticeable issue however. This causes ticks in the run in and into the track for around 20 turns. There is then a further 10 lighter ticks audible just after this. Other than this opening passage the record plays decent enough. There is some surface noise in places but nothing extreme and the audio as a whole would be closer to VG. I still enjoyed listening to the album and noted only the ticks in track 1 as its main downfall really. Saying this however it is well used and is graded as F+ so please take this into consideration.
The sleeve is in fair+ condition. This has considerable wear and rubbing to the edges and corners with a 2.5" split to the centre of the bottom edge and a small 1cm one developing in the top edge. All the edges have severe wear however and the sleeve as a whole is quite tatty. There is also numerous pen marks and grubbiness on the rear and some creasing throughout. There is a 'signature' on the front, which having looked at Johnny Rottens writing style does appear to be similar(the R in rotten looks like his style) but this has to be considered as unauthentic as I have no way of proving one way or the other. So overall a tatty sleeve with heavy wear to the edges, splits, grubbiness, creasing and numerous pen marks. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can and have of course graded it low but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible to its condition.
It includes a brand new plain white replacement inner as the original was missing.
So overall not a perfect copy of this classic. It is however and early release with the 'blank rear' and may even be 'signed'. It plays through with audio that can still be enjoyed for the most part, but is certainly not perfect and is graded at F+/F+ so do not expect as museum piece.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
