SEX PISTOLS EMI ANARCHY SINGLE AND TOUR PROMO
Large colour reproduction promo poster for The Sex Pistols 1976 classic debut single " Anarchy in the UK", their sole release on the EMI label.
Following the band's now infamous appearance on Thames TV's Today show with Bill Grundy the band were dropped by EMI and the single withdrawn. The resulting Media storm and public outrage led to the proposed tour ending in chaos as the Pistols were banned from playing by local councils. Of the 20 dates on the tour itinerary they only played about 7. Those were the days !
The poster is sized at A2 (approx 60 x 40 cm / 24 x16 inches ) and has been professionally printed on thick quality 210 gsm paper with a subtle matt UV laminate to ensure a long lasting colour fastness . Would look great framed.
