This is it, the best Sgt Pepper sound EVER! This record isn't Capitol Records Sgt Pepper. Nor is iT Parlophone. This catalogue number, MFSL 1-100, identifies it as a MFSL recording made in Japan and recognized as the best records made in the world! It's a more-expensive way to listen to music you enjoy, but people who know wouldn't have it any other way.
This Sgt Pepper was manufactured by the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Company who produce better discs.
Reasons are that the sound is created using the "half speed mastering process" so the cutting stylus cuts through the material at half speed resulting in better sound reproduction.
MFSL uses vinyl that is so perfectly pure that lubricants aren't necessary, making the classic "groove hiss" virtually imperceptible. Their discs are specially pressed with the finest, high definition super vinyl available anywhere by the Victor Company of Japan.
MFSL protects their albums with double the packaging and secures every LP in specialized, static-free, dust-free, inner sleeves to protect the grooves and cushion the record. Then they wrap that inside the jacket in a smaller cardboard jacket gatefold.
So the sound is the best you'll ever hear. That's the MFSL difference!
And, if you hold the LP up to the light it's such pure vinyl you can see right through it!
