Description
You are bidding for a collection of original Sha La La flexi’s and associated copies of 'The Dream Inspires!' and 'Are You Scared to get Happy’ fanzine produced by Matt Haynes of Sarah Records Fame.
The package includes:
The Clouds – Jenny Nowhere / Mighty Mighty – Throwaway (Flexi ba ba 001)
Talulah Gosh – I Told you So / Razorcuts – Sad Kaleidoscope (Flexi ba ba 002)
Poppyheads – Postcard for Flossy EP (Flexi ba ba 004)
Sea Urchins – Sunshine / Orchids – From this Day (Flexi ba ba 005)
The Dream Inspires! – Fanzine which partnered the Sea Urchins / Orchids flexi
Are You Scared to Get Happy 6 – Fanzine which partnered the Poppyheads flexi
Visually all items are in great condition. There is a little soiling / scuffing on the back of the Are You Scared fanzine, and a few light marks on the Sea Urchins and Poppyheads flexi's but visually everything is in nice Ex- to Ex condition.
Audibly, these are flexi’s so have the obvious limitations of cheap flexi pressings. All have been played through and I have to detail the following potential defects to bidders.
There are some small crease type marks on Sea Urchin flexi which are audible although the disk plays through.
The Poppyheads is pressed as an EP, and I cannot get this to play through without jumping / skating on my equipment. There is a light scratch type mark visible, however the jump appears to not be occurring due to this, and I suspect it is just the very shallow grooves of this flexi pressing.
The colourful fanzines include articles on Biff Bang Pow, 14 Iced Bears, Pastels, TV Personalities etc, in addition to the featured flexi artists.
These flexi’s are seldom offered as the complete package - don't miss out on this opportunity to pick up a collection of these rarities which overall (with exception of Poppyheads) I would grade this as Ex-.
Grading:
All vinyl is played in full using a top quality turntable and headphones to ensure an accurate grading is made and suitable comments relating to the pressing are included in the listing.
