SHADES OF PINK - THE LEGEND OF PINK FLOYD 1984 4 HOUR NBC RADIO PROGRAM

This set is very rare and comes from the collection of Bob Senn, a radio DJ for KTMS in Santa Barbara in the 70’s and 80’s. This is one of the best radio shows ever done on Pink Floyd! It is a 4 hour radio program with music, interviews and adverts from NBC Radio's Young Adult Network profile of Pink Floyd broadcast on August 31st, September 1, 2 and 3 1984. It includes tracks from all Pink Floyd's albums to date - The Final Cut being the last one, and also includes tracks from solo efforts from Syd Barrett and the rest of the band. It was distributed by NBC Radio only to other US Radio networks as a Promotion to encourage them to buy the broadcast rights. Original cue sheets are included and this will be shipped in what I believe is the original box. I will place that inside another box for extra protection.

For the Pink Floyd completist who can own something others simply can’t. Nearly impossible to find- the only version available right now are CD’s ripped from an original vinyl set like this. The audio quality of the music is fantastic and it plays BEAUTIFULLY! Contains complete songs and fascinating interviews and information. It’s a truly incredible program- one of the best ever done on the band.

All 6 discs have been ultrasonically cleaned and are in as close to near mint condition as one could ever hope for. There is one spindle trace on the label of most of the discs…likely this set was played one time on the air in 1984, put back in their sleeves and never played again.

DISCS: I will call them VG+ due to a few factory flaws (mostly look like a small little “bump”) but I have play tested these spots and they do not affect the sound at all. On some of the sides there are the wispiest of superficial marks and spotting that appear/disappear under bright light. You’ll be very hard pressed to find any other copy of this, let alone one this nice. All labels are in the same unmarked condition as the one pictured.

Again, I cannot overstate just how incredibly cool and rare this set is.
