The granddad of all garage-rock, this is probably the only case in the entire history of Rock, where a particular album is so completely identified with the birth of a genre or subcategory. For all purposes and intents, this is the album that started the whole "Garage-Rock" hoopla. Not to mention the fact that the title track was inducted into the R&R history not on the merits of its original version by Van Morrison & Them, but this guys' version. The band shakes up a storm on 11 bone-rattling songs, one more electrifying than another, in a proverbial maelstrom of distortion, fuzz and feedback. This album is the prime example of how much the early garage bands were enamored by the blues and R&B: no less than 9 Blues, R&B and Rock & Roll covers are included in the album - practically ALL of them by CHESS blues artists: Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker and Chuck Berry. This album is incredibly hard to find in a mint condition: don't waste time on CD reissues - this is the real thing. (a)          THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID)

(b)          The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

COVER IS (WEAK) NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP; (PLEASE NOTE: THE  SHRINK WRAP HAS BEEN SLIT OPEN ALONG ALMOST ENTIRE BOTTOM SEAM, BUT ONE SMALL SECTION REMAINS SEALED AND INTACT; TO PREVENT THE SMALL SECTION FROM SNAPPING OPEN DURING THE TRANSIT, WE HAVE ADDED A TINY PIECE OF CLEAR SCOTCH TAPE ON THAT SPOT, WHICH CAN BE EASILY REMOVED)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        A small cluster of dust has accumulated under the shrink wrap in one small section of the cover (this does NOT affect the cover itself); this can be easily cleaned up once the shrink wrap has been removedr has a completely split spine.

-        Cover shows some light yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

-        Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-        Cover has a light "wrinkle" (crease)  in one of the corners.

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No bar codes
